I was part of Young World Development in St Louis when I was in high school, and wondered what became of it. It was surprising to me to find only this one blog posting on the internet. YWD had a big impact on my life and I loved the grassroots effort that produced the Walk for Development. I remember making phone calls to businesses to ask for donations of supplies and hand squeezing lemons to make lemonade for the marchers. I miss the 70's.
